Types of Ferrous Scrap

(BH) Black Heavy

BH scrap is the best because
it contains the most iron

(KC) Kaichi Cutting

Heavy Scrap pieces that are cut into small sizes i.e. less than 1 foot. Therefore, they can be easily fed into the furnace.

(Bt) Black Turning

Steel chips coming out as by-product from manufacturing companies, engineering workshops/fabrication sheds.

(Co) Commercial

Material that can be compacted into bundles/small cubes using bailing press and compacting machines.

(SH) Selected Heavy

Heavy Scrap pieces that are heavy like drainage pipes, heavy angles, TMT bar cutting waste, heavy sheets, etc.

(Gh) Gamda Heavy

A mixture of SH material and small sized material. For example – small to medium sized angles, pipes etc.

(LL) Loose Light

Loose materials such as small steel sheet metal boxes, canisters, etc. Scrap materials are made from sheets which are less than 1mm thick

(SI) Sponge Iron

Small pebble-shaped pieces of pure iron. It is used to reduce the carbon levels of the melted iron in the furnace.

(HC) High Carbon

BH scrap is the best because
it contains the most iron

Currently we are focussing on MS Scrap, but we shall be adding e-waste and Non-ferrous scrap soon.
